Stretch Marks and Cellulite
Getting rid of stretch marks and cellulite is something most men and women want, but do not know how to go about it. Read on to know more on some remedies that might help.

Stretch marks and cellulite are two of the most common skin-related problems that most people, especially women, are looking to get rid of. Unfortunately, getting rid of them may not be easy as it may sound. Being associated with growth, pregnancy, breast implants, weight gain, and muscle workouts, they may appear at any age, from the time you start growing physically. Stretch marks often appear in the form of blotches on the skin when it gets stretched, in areas like the thighs, hips, stomach, breasts, and buttocks. On the other hand, cellulite are lumps that are formed due to the accumulation of fat beneath the skin, causing it to hang loose and dangle from areas of the body, like the belly, thighs, waist sides, etc.

How to Get Rid Of Stretch Marks and Cellulite
As a matter of fact, there is no such thing as final riddance from these skin conditions. You can, at the most, reduce them. Although there are a number of products available in the market, claiming to completely rid you of cellulite or stretch marks, there is no evidence to prove that these really work. So, instead of spending large amounts on such creams, lotions, and gels, why not try some natural remedies and exercises?

Home Remedies for Stretch Marks

  • Exfoliating the area where the marks have appeared will help reduce, and get rid of them fast. Use a loofah daily, and a body scrub twice a week for this purpose.
  • Cut open a vitamin E capsule, and apply it over the blotched surface. Do this on a daily basis, and do not wash off the liquid. Allow it to soak into your skin.
  • A diet that contains almonds, broccoli, blackberries, blueberries, sweet potatoes, soy, tomatoes, whole grain cereals, and oats, can also be helpful.
  • Grind some coffee beans, and massage the area with it in gentle circular motions for about 5 minutes daily. You can also mix the ground coffee beans with honey.
  • Apply papaya fruit pulp to the affected areas, and let it stay for around 20 minutes. Then, rinse off with lukewarm water.
  • Apply some cocoa butter, and leave it on overnight. Cocoa butter easily penetrates into your skin, and works to reduce stretch marks after pregnancy.
  • Exercising regularly will help tone your body, and even prevent appearance of stretch marks.

Home Remedies for Cellulite

  • Exercising regularly is by far the best way of avoiding cellulite. There are exercises that are specifically done for this purpose.
  • Prepare a massage oil mixture by combining equal amounts of fennel, rosemary, almond, or olive oil. Massage it into the affected area on a daily basis. Allow it to penetrate into your skin by not washing it off.
  • Add around a cup of salt to your bathtub water. Soaking in this water will aid your purpose of losing the fat deposits underneath the skin.
  • Consume a mixture of 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, and a teaspoon of honey, added to 1½ glasses of water, everyday in the morning.
  • Apply coffee powder mixed with body lotion, and massage into the skin. This is a popular method of cellulite removal.

Apart from the natural home remedies there are various cosmetic procedures like cellulite therapy, laser treatment, microdermabrasion, and liposuction, that can be used to reduce stretch marks and get rid of cellulite. These, however, are expensive, and may have various side effects. The results too, may vary from person to person.
